Shale Inhibitor KLACAP is a low-molecular-weight, dry acrylamide copolymer which is used primarily as a shale inhibitor in water based
drilling fluids system. It can provide cuttings encapsulation very well.
Application
Can provide excellent cuttings encapsulation
Effective in A wide range of base brines including seawater, saturated NaCl, and CaCl2.
Need less shear when mixed
Provides minimal viscosity contribution
Enhance filtration properties
Advantages
Strongly effective shale inhibitor
Can provide excellent cuttings encapsulation and limits cutting dispersion
Environmentally acceptable
Provide improved shale stabilization
Have less effect on the viscosity of the system
Lower screen blinding potential
Recommended Treatment
Add Klacap in concentrations of 1.5-3.0 lb/bbl (4.28-8.56 kg/m3) Mix slowly through a jet mixer or sift slowly into the vortex of a
high-speed stirrer.
